What we collect

Your checklist: ticks, notes, property name and date are stored only in this browser on this device (localStorage). They are never sent to us and we cannot see them.
Photos: the tool does not collect or upload photos.
Usage statistics (no cookies, no personal data): so we know how many people the tool helps, we count two kinds of things.
- Page views via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors.
- Anonymous event counters on our own Cloudflare server: each time someone views a page, starts a checklist, finishes a report (print, copy or backup) or switches report language, we add 1 to a daily total. Each count records only the event name, the page name, the page language (English/Chinese), the checklist type (new home / move-in / move-out) and a broad source such as “Pinterest”, “Reddit”, “search engine” or “direct”. We do not record your IP address, browser details, any ID, full web addresses, or anything you type, and we cannot tell visitors apart.
- If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, our event counters send nothing.
Feedback: if you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply and improve the tool. We do not sell them or use them for marketing.

The tool provides common self-check items and a way to record them. It is not a professional inspection, survey, engineering opinion or legal advice.
No checklist covers every home or every problem. Whether something is a defect, who is responsible, and how it is repaired or compensated depend on your contract, your lease and local law.
Rules and sources we quote may change; we try to keep them current but cannot guarantee it.
The tool is free and may change as we improve it.
